Hostel is in a perfect location, not far away from the city center (you get there in 15 min by public transport) and not far a way from the airport (15 min ca as well). You are in Budapest but you can enjoy a green, clean residential area. No trafic noise, no smelly cars around.. but of course if you need it, you can always catch the first train (5 min on foot) and get to the center! Agi, the ladylord is so cool and really helpful. She give us all info about the city and showed us amazing places (like baths and caves not so mentioned in the touristic guides)!

I absolutely loved my stay at the hostel. Aggi was a great host and took time to give me tips re: Budapest, transport, etc... she also spent time with her guests and made my stay in Budapest and the hostel very unique. Recommended!

Agi, the hostess, is amazing. She gave so much information it was maybe too much information, the map of Budapest that she gave me is covered in blue circles! The hostel is pretty far out. There is a train every half hour into central, but as I was staying alone, I didn't feel comfortable getting a train back in the late hours as it seemed quite a dark dodgy alley to be walking back. The place is spotless. Would recommend as a group, and it's very good value for money.

This hostel is 18 mins by train from the centre. Just far enough to escape and have some rest. It's great because it's peaceful and very cosy. Agi is an amazing host and will eagerly advise you and answer any questions you ask. There are a couple of Hungarian restaurants which are amazing and half the price of what you will find in the centre. It's also a great way to put money back into the economy. Definitely stay here if you want a break from the party ;)

This hostel is situated quite far from the centre, which at first I was worried about - but I love it here! It's very easy to get to and from the centre (only 20mins by train).

Agi is wonderful. She does her best to make you feel welcomed and comfortable. She's also very knowledgable and has an answer for everything! She can tell you where to go, the cheapest options and where to avoid. She recommended the most amazing place for cheap, authentic Hungarian food - a must do when staying here!

I would recommend this to anyone as it really is a home away from home.

Liked: its convenient for the airport

Disliked: the girls have to pass through the boys dorm to get into their room, and the boys room is directly next to the showers also,so if you want to get an early nights sleep, you have no chance its like trying to sleep on a railway station

Liked: I stayed here 4 nights in July and I loved it. Agi, the owner, is absolutely wonderful. She's incredibly kind, hospitable and helpful. She tells you everything she can about Hungary - things to do, what to avoid. It is out of the city, about 20mins, however that became a huge positive. Agi recommended an amazing traditional Hungarian restuaraunt that was close to the hostel, half the price and better quality than the city centre. There was also a market nearby which sold amazing Hungarian snacks that were also cheaper and better quality. The hostel is small and clean, not a party hostel which was great for me. You can still drink and have a good time though. Agi loves to mingle and chat away with you and encorouges you to do so with other guests, so a good atmosphere. Good wifi, kitchen facilities and a cosy outdoor area with deck chairs under a massive fruit tree. A lovely hostel. :)

Disliked: Nothing. It's hard to be negative when my stay ha sheen so nice.

Hostel Relax feels like a home because it is a home. It is run by a lovely woman named Agi. What sets Agi apart from the other hostel hosts is that she will spend time getting to know you and explain in detail the ins-and-outs of Budapest. Where to go, where not to go, where to get cheap food, what restaurants are too expensive, tourist sites, etc. Every information a backpackers needs to know. Hostel Relax has my highest recommendation.

Clean, quite, comfortable. This is a very nice hostel, very clean. Very friendly. Lots of info on the city, and things to do. Very helpful with transportation, to the city. Near the train, and a short distance into the city by train. Very quite at night, nice and comfortable.

The owner was very helpful with directions etc. I stayed here one night to be closer to the airport & it was fine. I ended up on the top bunk which was a shame as I couldn't sneak out early without disturbing my roommates! I would definitely stay here again.
